Blocking

The sticking together of printed sheets or a printed web, caused by ink setoff, the transfer of ink from a printed sheet to the sheet lying on top of it due to incomplete ink drying. See Ink Setoff.

In telecommunications, blocking refers to the state of a PBX system in which all lines are in use.
