Footprint

In screen printing, the edge of the squeegee that contacts the screen fabric. A typical footprint is only several mils. thick, depending on the shape of the squeegee blade.

In computers, the term footprint refers to the base dimensions of a computer monitor.

The term footprint also refers to the amount of space a device (such as a computer or peripheral) occupies on a desk or other work surface.

In telecommunications, the term footprint also refers to the geographic area covered by a satellite transmission.
