Frame Animation

A means of animation in which each frame of the sequence is a completely new drawing which, at a typical rate of 30 frames per second, can be extremely time-consuming to produce, although they are of the highest quality. An alternative to frame animation is known as cast animation, where only selected elements of a frame are redrawn from frame to frame. See Cast Animation.
