Gouraud Shading

In computer graphics, a technique used for coloring three-dimensionally-rendered objects in which the area to be colored is divided into triangles, the solid colors being placed at the corners of a triangle, the remainder of the area of a triangle being filled with a gradient extending from corner to corner. Although this system avoids complicated calculations, it does not always produce smooth gradients.
