On the World Wide Web (the graphics-based part of the Internet), the starting point for a company or individual's set of linked pages or other Internet resources. Typically, a company or individual provides potential users with a web address (or Universal Resource Locator) that corresponds to a home page. Once the user has reached that page, s/he can view an overview of the company or individual, as well as a list of other hypertext links.
