Infeed

The unit or section of a printing press responsible for transporting sheets or webs of susbtrate into the press and, in the case of web printing, maintaining proper web tension. See Infeed Section (sheetfed offset lithography) and Web Offset Lithography: Infeed and Web Control. Also spelled with a hyphen, in-feed.
