A form of entertainment in which the vocal track from a song is stripped off, allowing individuals to sing along. The music can be on an optical disc or magnetic tape, and in more advanced systems, the lyrics and other graphics can be viewed on a screen. Karaoke is popular in nightclubs, and is also a fairly popular type of multimedia presentation.
