LPTx Port

On a PC, especially one running DOS, the designation of one of the computer's parallel ports into which printers can be connected. The first parallel port, LPT1, is most commonly the port in which the printer is connected. DOS supports up to three parallel ports, while OS/2 supports up to 9.
