Power Mac

The most recent line of Apple Macintosh computers, based on the PowerPC microprocessor. Although using a different chip and architecture than earlier Macintosh computers, the Power Mac behaves nearly identically and is capable of running the same software, although with varying degrees of performance. Power Macs are also capable of running DOS and Windows software by means of the SoftWindows emulation program.
