Random Proof

A type of color proof comprising a set of color images reproduced on the same sheet of substrate without regard to the correct positioning of these elements, produced as a cost-effective way of evaluating the color reproduction of completed scans prior to stripping and/or color correction. Also known as a scatter proof.
