Assemble Edit

A means of editing a videotape in which separate clips are placed in sequence with no transitions or smoothing effects other than straight cuts. Assemble editing is often a quick and easy way of creating a rough cut of a video presentation for preview purposes. Also referred to as punch-and-crunch editing, or assemble-style editing.

'Assemble Edit also refers to any video material added to the end of a tape.
