Barrel

In packaging, a large container usually made of wood used to store and/or ship liquids. The wooden barrel, despite the antiquity of its design, is still the strongest known shipping vessel, thanks primarily to its use of the arch, which is in physics, engineering, and architecture, the strongest structure known. Its double-arch design, down its length and across its girth, imparts to the barrel its great strength.
