Break

In screen printing, the release of the screen fabric from the substrate at the end of a printing stroke.

Also in screen printing, break refers to a tear in the screen fabric or the stencil due to mechanical stress.

Break also refers to a tear or complete severing of a web of substrate. See Web Break.

In printing ink, break refers to the separation of a resin from the rest of the varnish.

In networking, the term break refers to any interruption of data transmission.
