Chase

In screen printing, a screen frame possessing a means of attaching the screen fabric and adjusting its tension. See also Floating Bar Printing Frame and Screen Printing: Press Configurations.

A chase is also used to refer to a rectangular metal frame in which hot metal type and/or plates are positioned and locked up for letterpress printing.
