Color Cast

A color imbalance resulting in an overall discoloration of a reproduction (or the original), caused by a preponderance of one color (light or pigment) over the others. Color cast commonly manifests itself as a bluish red, pinkish blue, etc. A color cast affecting an original image may need to be color corrected after scanning. A color cast may also be observable in a video picture.
