Curl Test Method

A test to determine a paper's water resistance or adequacy of its sizing in which a paper sample is floated on a water surface. It will curl toward its dry side until the water has penetrated halfway through the paper, at which point the curl will reverse its direction. The length of time from contact with the water to the point of the maximum angle of curl is the measurement of water resistance.
