Die-Stamping

In binding and finishing, a finishing operation similar to embossing in which hard metal dies are used to stamp or press images or patterns into a surface, such as a cloth book cover. Die-stamping is frequently a synonym for foil-stamping, although ink rather than foil may be stamped onto a surface. When die-stamping is performed with no coloration, it is known as blind-stamping.
