Draw

To generate an illustration or illustration vector either manually (using pen and ink on a substrate) or digitally (using a drawing program).

In binding and finishing, the term draw refers to the gathered sections (or signatures) of a book. Depending upon the number of signatures vs. the number of stations on the gathering machine, book sections may need to be assembled in more than one stage. A double draw is two batches of sections that are assembled, while a triple draw is three batches to assemble.

In cutting and trimming, the term draw also refers to any dragging motion of a cutting knife.
