Erasable Optical Disc

A variety of optical disc, or type of external storage media, that allows the deletion and rewriting of information, unlike a CD or CD-ROM, which are read-only optical discs. An erasable optical disc allows high-capacity storage (600 MB or more) and their durability has made them useful for archival storage. See Magneto-Optical Disc.
