Ethyl Lake Red C

An organic color pigment used as an orange pigment in printing inks. Ethyl Lake Red C is a yellow shade of Lake Red C, and possesses high brightness and tinctorial strength. However, it possesses low lightfastness and alkali resistance and has a tendency to bleed in many solvents. It is often used for printing on unbleached kraft stock.
