Output indicating to the user from an application program's interpretation of a logical input value. Information from computer to user to help monitor direction of operation.

The regeneration of sound caused by a microphone's pickup of output from its own speakers, causing a ringing sound or high-pitch squeal.

That portion of an output signal that is returned, directly or indirectly, to be compared to a reference signal in order to maintain an output signal.
