Frequency Histogram

A graphical analysis of data obtained from a given sample indicating how many times a specific occurrence took place. In scanning, a color scanner may often generate an electronic frequency histogram to indicate how many occurrences of each color there were in a given scan, so as to accurately determine and adjust the middle tone placement for an original image.
