Glass Master

In multimedia and CD production, a glass disc on which the data from a master tape are stored. It is used to stamp an impression in the stamper, creating a pattern that is the reverse of a compact disc (i.e., pits on a CD exist as lands and vice versa on the stamper), which is then used to stamp multiple copies of a CD.
