Language

Any organized system for conveying information, either orally or by means of written representation. A language not only refers to a means of communication between humans, but also between humans and computers. A computer (or any similar electronic device) at its most basic level cannot understand any human language, except the strictly mathematical binary system of 1s and 0s. Software interpreters and compilers are needed to translate a language a human can understand (and program in) into machine language, or the language the computer can understand.
