Mylar

A clear, strong, thin polyester film used in the manufacture of photographic film, recording tapes, insulation, etc. Mylar films are used as printing substrates, as well as travelling belts in some press systems.

Mylar is also used as a type of film designed for plotters, distinguished by its high dimensional stability, an important consideration in the output of architectural and engineering graphics drawn to scale.
