Photocombining

In the image assembly phase of prepress, the use of complementary flats (or separate flats containing different images which will ultimately be imaged on the same plate) in which the separate flats will be combined photographically onto a single negative (or positive) prior to platemaking. Such negatives (or positives) are known as composite negatives (or composite positives).
