Roller-Setting Gauge

A device used to measure the roller setting, or the pressure that exists between two offset press ink or dampening rollers. A roller-setting gauge measures the amount of force generated when the device's metal strip is pulled through the nip of the two rollers being set. A roller-setting gauge can also be used in concert with less objective methods such as the three-strip method and the folded-strip method.
