Running Text

In typography, a text block in which lines are broken near the right margin at random, rather than by design. Running text—a characteristic of paragraphs, pages, and other continuous, narrative material—is broken utilizing a "soft return" while deliberate line breaks are achieved utilizing a "hard return."
