Thin horizontal and vertical lines engraved on the surface of a flexographic press's plate cylinder used for the accurate positioning and mounting of flexo plates. Scribe lines can be used in conjunction with fine engraved marks on the non-printing portions of the plate itself to facilitate accurate plate mounting.
