Sequencer

In comouting, the portion of a microprocessor that controls the seuqence in which instructions will be executed.

In a database or database program, a sequencer is the portion of the system or program that sorts individual records according to the user's specifications.

In audio production, a serquencer is a device which controls digital musical instruments, often in accordance with the MIDI standard.
