Shrink Band

In packaging, a plastic film—commonly printed—which is placed around a product or container and, with the application of heat, shrinks around the product. Shrink bands are used as identifying labels, tamper-evident seals, decorative ornaments (as in the plastic or plasticized foil covering the cork on wine bottles), or promotional devices. Shrink bands can be placed around only rhe neck of a container (as a bottle) or around the bulk of the product or container itself. Shrink bands are also used to attach other items to a product, or to join two products together as in the case of "buy one get... free" offers.
