Simplex Decal

A decal which has been printed (typically by screen printing) on a water-absorbent paper and coated on its face with a water-soluble adhesive. Upon immersion in water, the decal is released from the paper backing and can be slid onto the desired surface. Common examples of simplex decals are the decals that come as part of model airplane kits. Also called slide-off decal, water slide-off decal, and water-slide transfer.
