One of several sizes to which paper has been pre-cut, depending on the paper grade. Paper is typically less expensive and more readily available when ordered in a standard size than when ordered in a custom size. There is also less wasted paper when standard sizes are used. Standard sizes can be cut evenly to produce all of the popular trimmed sizes currently in use.
