In advertising, the individual in charge of a particular advertising campaign with a client. Account executives are responsible for all aspects of an ad campaign, including design, layout, media buying, etc.
Account execs may work as project liaisons with CSRs (customer service representatives) at a print company, or vice versa. As professional print and media production software has become much more complex in recent versions, both account execs and CRSs may require more technical training than was common in the past, to effectively manage client expectations with time and budget constraints.
