Chapter

In book typography, a major subdivision of a book, usually smaller than a part, but larger than a section.

The term chapter is also used to refer to an addressable segment of data stored on a videodisc. Although specific chapters can be accessed randomly, the data within a chapter can only be accessed sequentially. The code marking the end of a chapter is called a chapter stop.
