In video, television, film, or multimedia production, the maintaining of consistency from scene to scene, shot to shot, or screen to screen. A common example in cinematic films is the water level of a glass that switches from one shot to another within the same scene. This is known as poor continuity. In multimedia, a button which is active in one screen must be active in the next.
