A range of colors—green, blue, and violet—that produce a psychological impression of coolness, as opposed to warm colors (yellow, orange, and red). Any printed product or other color reproduction will instil feelings of coolness if the color balance as a whole imparts a bluish tone. See also Warm Colors.
