Crossover

Descriptive of a printed illustration that occupies portions of both sides of a two-page spread, essentially "crossing over" the binding edge, commonly found in newspaper, magazine, and—to a lesser extent—book publishing. When positioning and printing both parts of the illustration, it is of course crucial that the two halves line up when the final publication is assembled and that the colors match. (See also Spread.)
