Any scientific inquiry into the comparison of organic brains (i.e., those of humans and other animals) with mechanical and electronic brains (i..e, computers and other devices), the goal being to apply such knowledge to the development of robots. The results of such inquiries have already been used in the development of machines and programs which simulate human experience, such as flight simulators.
