Dioxazine Violet B

An organic color pigment used in printing inks. Dioxazine Violet B is a bright red violet that is resistant to light, heat, alkalis, acids, soaps, oils, waxes, solvents, and water. It is utilized in a wide variety of inks. (See Organic Color Pigments.)
