In film and video photography, a wheeled cart to which a camera can be mounted, allowing for the tracking of moving objects or for other effects. The dolly is often pulled by hand along tracks, often by a crewmember known as a "dolly grip."
In three-dimensional modeling, dolly is a term used to refer to similar type of movement.
