In page layout and printing, two facing pages of a book, magazine, newspaper, or other publication on which the text, artwork, or other page elements span the bind margin, one portion of the image falling on the verso, the other portion falling on the recto. The imposition and printing of double-page spreads require that the two portions of the image be perfectly aligned when the publication is assembled, and that the colors be identical.
