Enhanced Graphics Adapter

An IBM expansion card added to a computer system, enabling a color monitor to display 16 colors at a screen resolution of up to 640 x 350 pixels at 21.8 kilohertz (KHz). It was an improvement over CGA, but still was only capable of displaying text with an 8 x 14-dot character cell. It was superseded by VGA.
