Terminal

In typography, the free-ending stroke of a letter or other character, commonly with a special decorative treatment. A special variety of terminal is called a finial. See Letter Elements.

In networking, a workstation comprising a keyboard and monitor. A dumb terminal has no processing power itself, requiring connection to a central controller for instructions to be executed. An intelligent terminal"] has its own processing power and is capable of becoming a standalone device.
