Three-DO

In multimedia, a popular format and system (designed by the 3DO company) used to create and playback full-motion and full-screen interactive video anbd multimedia. Presentations are stored and distributed on at least a double-speed CD-ROM. A complete 3DO system includes a CD-ROM drive, development software, and specific compression and decompression algorithms. A competitor to the 3DO system in the computer gaming and entertainment markets is CD-i.
