Three-Dimensional Animation

The animation of objects (usually using a 3D modeling program) in which a third dimension (beyond the two dimensions of height and width) is simulated, allowing the object to move in a "virtual" 3D space, or in other words, move in perspective on the screen. See also Two-Dimensional Animation.
