Translucent

In optics, descriptive of a surface or object that allows for the passage of light through it, but in a highly diffuse manner, such that objects cannot be clearly seen or read through it. (See Translucency.) Objects which are opaque allow no light to pass through them, while objects which are transparent allow a great deal of—if not all—incident light to pass through them.
