Vanceometer Test

A test performed to measure a paper's ink absorbency, in which an oil is spread on the surface of a paper, imparting a certain level of gloss, and a glossmeter is used to measure the decrease in gloss as the oil is absorbed into the paper. (See also Ink Absorbency and K and N Ink Absorbency Test.)
