White Balance

In videography, the calibration of a video camera to the frequency of light that corresponds to white, so as to enable all other colors to register correctly. Usually, a camera is white balanced by focusing on a sheet of white paper. Setting the white balance avoids unpleasant color casts in videotaped images.
