White Book

In multimedia, a set of standards that describes the specifications for recording data on a video CD, often used for karaoke. The White Book standard (so-named because the publication containing the specifications had a white cover) allows up to 74 minutes of audio and video compressed by MPEG-1 data compression techniques.
